The history of Robinho

From Teresópolis to Tampa

His sport history begins in 1988 at the age of 10, training Jiu-Jitsu in his hometown of Teresópolis. Encouraged by his family, Robinho quickly grew his skills, collecting regional titles. When his first instructor moved to Rio, he began training under Master André Pederneiras and Wendell on their elite team.

He continued to grow, achieving national and international titles and earning deep respect for his proficient, competitive style. By 18 he had achieved his greatest dream — becoming a Black Belt — and today he is one of the most valued players in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
